What is Babilon?
Babilon ‘strings’ are made from recyclable, flexible plastic available in either 2.8 metre or 3.8 metre lengths divided into a number of pockets.
Babilon can be hung on balcony railings, walls and fences, in greenhouses, poly tunnels or grow tents. Grow your own salad leaves, herbs, strawberries or bedding plants!
For best results:
Your Babilon pockets should be in a position that allows them to face the sun each day.
Use a stapler to fasten the two sides together just under your hanging support, then break each of Babilon’s perforations – there is a finger hole to help start them off.
Take a handful of compost or wrap a seed or bare-rooted plant in a growing medium such as coir matting, and insert the plant into each pocket.
Moisten each plant and then irrigate Babilon from the top pockets only.
