HPS stands for high-pressure sodium. These are the most efficient of the HID lighting, and offers more of a red spectrum of light. This is especially useful for the flowering stage of plant development but can also be used successfully for the whole life of the plant. Be sure to combine HPS lighting with the proper ballast combination or choose one of our complete HPS lighting systems.
